  • In research, the consumption of soy beans is now being associated with reduced rates of breast cancer.

The effects of soya consumption on circulating hormones was measured in premenopausal women. Results concluded that consumption of soya diets containing phyto-oestrogens may decrease  the risk of breast cancer.
Soy beans can be eaten in their whole form or as tofu or tempeh, two delicious soy-based dishes. The best place to buy soya products that are not genetically modified is your health store. Look for soya products that are certified organic.

Mung Beans
Mung beans are green and are a popular sprouting bean. They reduce water retention and have been shown to lower high blood pressure. Mung beans tone the blood and contain compounds which aid the organs’ detoxifying processes.
