Sprouts Contain Active Enzymes

Sprouts

Sprouts are higher in protein than most common lettuces, spinach or other leafy green vegetables.

For good health, we need to eat foods containing active enzymes. Sprouts are foods that contain the most abundant source. When a plant begins to sprout during the germinating stage, the activity of enzymes are at its peak. A diet that is lacking in enzymes, moves the food we eat far slower through the digestive tract, and the food may then putrefy and ferment in the intestines. This causes toxins to circulate in the body from the colon and into the bloodstream. The immune system sees this as invaders, and uses a lot of energy to remove them. This leads to chronic fatigue and exhaustion with weakened immunity. A diet rich with enzyme foods, especially all kinds of sprouts, improves health and well-being. Living foods help to keep the immune system strong.

You may sprout many different seeds, legumes, and grains, like fenugreek, alfalfa, sunflower, oats, barley, peas, lentils, chick peas, mung beans, pumpkin seeds, raw peanuts, etc, but I prefer soya beans.
By eating sprouts, you enhance immunity and reduce your risk of cancer. The main reason  being that sprouts have a high concentration of antioxidant nutrients which reduce the effects of free radicals. If left unchecked, these free radicals will cause diseases as well as accelerate the ageing process. Cell damage will be less if there are sufficient nutrients, water, antioxidants and enzymes available to the body. Antioxidants, control the actions of oxygen, by preventing or slowing down the damage. Vitamin A, C and E are found in abundance in living foods such as sprouts.
