High Cholesterol
When you have more cholesterol than your body needs, cholesterol can cause plaque to build up in your arteries. This can clog your arteries. Sticky plaque constricts blood flow to your heart and raises your risk of heart attack or stroke. Your heart needs sufficient oxygen to stay healthy. Should a clot completely block an artery feeding your heart, you have a heart attack. A clot that blocks an artery feeding your brain, causes you to have a stroke.
The damage of high cholesterol accumulates over years. Fenugreek seeds contain compounds known as steroidal saponins that inhibit both cholesterol absorption in the intestines and cholesterol production by the liver. The seeds of fenugreek are used medicinally. By including fenugreek in your diet and drinking the tea three times per day, should help to control high cholesterol. It is rich in vitamins and minerals.
Fenugreek is also used in traditional medicine for treating arthritis and sexual dysfunction. This plant may increase testosterone levels. Harvard.edu
